London (60 miles) is easily reached by the M40, with junction 8 (13 miles) giving direct access to the national motorway network, Heathrow and Birmingham airports. There are also regular train services from Oxford Station to these destinations.
Access to the north, the M4 and the south is via the A34 dual carriageway which is only 2 miles to the east. Abingdon, 5 miles, Culham, 6 miles and Harwell 11 miles are all local journeys through the country lanes by car.
